A Month Full of Kindness, Fun, and Sweet Memories
This month, I had the chance to join a food preparation activity for people in need. We worked together, peeling potatoes and getting everything ready with love and care. It was a quiet and simple moment, but it felt very powerful. As a volunteer, I learned that helping others doesn’t always need to be big, even small actions made with kindness can bring a lot of joy.
Another special memory from April was trying archery for the first time. It was something completely new for me. When I held the bow and aimed at the target, I felt focused and strong. It was exciting to try this traditional sport, and I had so much fun. Moments like this remind me that volunteering is also about exploring new things and learning in different ways
And of course, I finished one of the events in the best way, with a big smile and a big cotton candy in my hand! This famous sweet is popular in Turkey, and it made me feel like a happy kid again. Just like the cotton candy, April was light, fun, and full of sweet memories. I’m thankful for every experience I had this month.
